tree

The Habitat for Humanity office is feeling more festive today due to the donation of a Christmas tree from one of our most faithful and generous donors. This isn’t the first time Mickey Welch has made a generous donation to Habitat for Humanity. Ms. Welch has sponsored several Habitat homes and was a significant contributor toward our ReStore project. The tree she donated was purchased at last night’s Easter Seals’ charity auction at the Blennerhassett hotel. The tree is themed “Baby it’s Cold Outside” and is currently brightening the corner of our conference room where all can enjoy it.

Habitat for Humanity of the Mid-Ohio Valley depends on generous donors like Mickey Welch as well as a small army of volunteers. Tirelessly, all work together to drive toward our vision of a world where everyone has a decent place to live. We are currently working on three homes and are looking forward to building and dedicating our 100th home in 2017. Home sponsorship starts at only $10,000 and is just one way members of our community can get involved with Habitat for Humanity. We are excited to see who wants to be involved in this momentous event and sponsor our 100th home.

Congratulations

Great job Rhododendron Furniture and Design for winning first place with your  “Oh ‘Deer,’ Let’s Raise a Lot of ‘Doe’ for Easter Seals.” themed traditional tree. Also, congratulations to Valerie Young for her award winning entry “Golden Splendor.” Rhododendron Furniture and Design and Valerie Young Realtors generously provide annual support for our fundraising auction Destination Design. Destination Design is scheduled for April 7, 2017.
