Habitat for Humanity of the Mid-Ohio Valley and the ReStore received an unexpected visit from a local church organization this morning. The Mid Ohio Valley Parish, made up of the Central Christian Church of Marietta and the First Christian Church of Parkersburg, delivered a basket of goodies as well as the gift of prayer for the month of January.
The church group selects a local business each month to focus on in prayer and this month, Habitat for Humanity of the Mid-Ohio Valley is the lucky recipient of this gracious gift. ReStore Director Ben Bradley says “The homemade baked goods will definitely be enjoyed by all of us, but knowing that the group will be focusing on our organization in their month of prayer is a gift beyond measure.” Habitat for Humanity is a Christian organization whose mission is: Seeking to put God’s love into action, Habitat for Humanity brings people together to build homes, communities and hope.” Habitat depends on the generosity of the community in order to continue their work whether that be a financial donation or the gift of prayer.
