Are you wanting to make a difference in the Mid-Ohio Valley?  Consider joining the growing non-profit housing ministry of Habitat for Humanity of the MOV.  We are seeking a qualified individual to become our Volunteer Coordinator. Habitat builds homes in partnership with those who are in need of safe, affordable, permanent housing. A core principle of Habitat is to engage community volunteers in working alongside future homeowners in the homebuilding process.

The Volunteer Coordinator will be responsible for recruiting volunteers (both individuals and groups) and coordinating volunteer efforts on Habitat construction sites and in the ReStore. To this end, the Volunteer Coordinator is expected to train and orient new volunteers, communicate with volunteers, oversee volunteer experiences onsite, and manage volunteer record keeping.

This is a part-time position requiring 20 hours of work per week. Regular travel in Wood County, WV and Washington County, OH is required. This position reports to the Executive Director.

 

Qualifications:

An Associated Degree in Business or related field with a minimum of 2 years of experience utilizing collaborative organization skills. The successful candidate will demonstrate solid interpersonal communication and presentation skills. A valid driver’s license and reliable transportation is required.

Experience managing volunteers is preferred. Previous experience serving as a regular volunteer in an organization is strongly preferred.

Salary is based on experience.
