We are a volunteer-centered organization. Our volunteers are not only instrumental in building houses for our home-buyers, they also assist us in running our ReStore, serving on our board and committees, planning and overseeing special events, and helping in our affiliate office.
Meet our Volunteer Spotlight for May: Betty Dotson

Betty has volunteered with Habitat for Humanity in our ReStore for a year and a half. You can find her serving our customers and working with our staff on Tuesday and Thursday mornings. She is a retired elementary school teacher, having worked at Kanawha School for 34 years.
Betty’s favorite part of volunteering is interacting with the people and making the ReStore look inviting. She also volunteers at the Actors Guild of Parkersburg, where she met her husband. And she helps lead worship service during the first service at South Parkersburg Baptist Church.
She has been married to her husband Michael for 29 years. They have a basset hound named Bonnie Marie and a cat named Percy.
Betty is so thankful that she was asked to be a part of this awesome organization! And we are so thankful to have Betty as one of our fantastic volunteers!
