Habitat for Humanity is an international Christian ministry that believes all people deserve a simple, decent, affordable place to live. Habitat for Humanity of the Mid-Ohio Valley works toward the elimination of inadequate housing here in Wood County, West Virginia and in Washington County, Ohio, and has been an affiliate of Habitat for Humanity International since 1991. Since then, we have completed 105 homes and have provided housing for over 375 individuals.

We partner with individuals and families who are willing to provide sweat equity hours on their own and others’ houses, and who are able to make an affordable monthly payment on a no-interest mortgage loan. To apply, click on “Become a Homeowner” at the top of this page.

In addition, Habitat for Humanity of the Mid-Ohio Valley tithes ten percent (10%) of donations received to Habitat for Humanity International. Since 1991 we have donated enough funds to build over 140 houses internationally.
